When it comes to the vast array of choices available for flying private, it can be challenging to determine which provider to trust. It is essential to dig deeper into the operator’s history, stability, and operational experience to select a program that not only meets your flight needs, but also provides a safe and worry-free experience. Over the last three decades, the PlaneSense® Fractional program has established itself as one of the most reliable and trustworthy options for those seeking private air travel. In addition to operating the largest U.S. fleet of Pilatus PC-12s and PC-24 jets, there are a number of factors that have led it to be a leader in the fractional aircraft industry:
Success that Spans Decades
The PlaneSense® program operates the largest commercial fleet of Pilatus PC-12s and PC-24 jets in the United States, providing world class service for nearly 30 years via a comprehensive fractional aircraft program serving business and leisure travelers. The PlaneSense® program has achieved steady growth since its inception in 1995, demonstrating the company’s ability to outperform economic downturns, pilot shortages, and volatile markets, while always focused on delivering exceptional customer service to its clients. The PlaneSense® team’s unwavering commitment to excellence, combined with the renowned Pilatus aircraft results in a mutually advantageous partnership that continues to thrive. This successful collaboration positioned PlaneSense, Inc. as the pioneer launch customer for the world's first PC-24 twinjet, a remarkable achievement celebrated at its Portsmouth, NH headquarters in 2018. Four PlaneSense® pilots were the first in the world to obtain a commercial PC-24 type rating and two had the privilege of participating in the historic ferry flight from Switzerland to the United States. The PlaneSense® program was proud to take delivery of Pilatus’ 2000th PC-12 in May 2023.
Growing U.S. Presence
The PlaneSense® program connects its passengers (and their pets!) to airports of all sizes, including metro hubs and smaller, remote airfields across the contiguous United States, Canada, Bermuda, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America. The PlaneSense® program has strategically located its operations on both coasts of the U.S. with a state-of-the-art maintenance operations at its headquarters in Portsmouth, NH, and a newly expanded facility in Boulder City, NV. This expansion was aimed at efficiently managing the growing demand for PlaneSense® PC-12 and PC-24 shares and private flights in the Western U.S. region. The presence of a larger national fleet enables aircraft to easily access airports across various regions, allowing for reliable service. The PlaneSense® program consistently receives referrals from satisfied clients who recommend their friends and colleagues interested in private air travel, serving as a testament to the program’s success and long-term performance.
The PlaneSense® Fleet
The Pilatus PC-12 has long been the leading choice among single-engine turboprops in the aviation market due to the aircraft’s craftmanship, versatility, and reliability. The PlaneSense® program has taken delivery of 88 PC-12s since 1995, selling them out of the fleet around 10 years old. This allows share owners to have access to the most advanced aircraft. The PlaneSense® program ended 2023 with 44 PC-12s and six additional aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2024. The PC-12, equipped with its wide swept wings and advanced landing gear, is specifically engineered to accommodate both large international hubs as well as smaller airfields. This versatile aircraft guarantees a seamless travel experience for both business and leisure travelers, making it a reliable option for all types of travelers. The PlaneSense® fleet also includes the PC-24, Pilatus' super versatile jet designed for longer-range destinations. Like the PC-12, the jet’s short field landing capabilities makes it possible for the PC-24 to reach thousands of additional airports that similarly sized jets are unable to access. At the end of 2023, the PlaneSense® program had 13 PC-24s in the fleet with five additional jets scheduled for delivery in 2024. The PlaneSense® program’s vast experience with these two aircraft types gives it an exclusive level of operational knowledge when compared to any other program. This has led the PlaneSense® program to become the preferred choice for clients who value trust and reliability.
