We try to make it easy and comfortable for children to fly with or without an adult guardian. The following reminders may be helpful when flying with a child on the PlaneSense® fleet:
- Two parental consent forms provide for the different possible travel scenarios that include children under the age of 18. In keeping with federal regulations, we require that the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) complete a Global Consent Form and submit it to Owner Services prior to a flight on which one or more of their children below 18 years of age are passengers without both parents or legal guardian(s). This form can be faxed to 603-570-7385 or scanned and emailed to reservations@nullplanesense.com. (Please note, this form can also be used to authorize individuals who may book a flight with or for your child or children.) Also, when one child or more, who are under the age of 18, are traveling unaccompanied, we require that the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) complete and submit Individual Consent Forms for each child prior to a flight on which she or he is a passenger.
- In addition to these consent forms, and as part of our flight operations protocol, we will also ask for the name, date of birth and weight of each child (under the age of 18) when scheduling a flight.
- If flying with a child who has not yet reached his/her second birthday, he/she may be held on the lap of an adult occupying a seat or you can bring along an FAA-approved child restraint seat if you’d like him/her to be able to sit in her own seat. In accordance with the FAA, children 24 months old and over must occupy a seat for take-off. Child restraint seats are strongly recommended for children 24 months old and over.
On a final note, always be mindful about children and safety at the FBO and on the ramp. We care about the safety of families who fly with us!
