The Bahamas have been an important part of the PlaneSense, Inc. story for decades. From the colleagues that have fueled our aircraft to those that have taken care of our pilots and everyone in between, countless people on the islands have made an impact on our fractional aircraft program. On September 16, we were able to give back by playing a small part in the recovery efforts after Hurricane Dorian. With the help of the PlaneSense team at the company’s headquarters, Captain Rob Nee and First Officer Eva Harden flew four trips in PC-12 to Freeport, Grand Bahama to assist the Miami Center Controllers and the NATCA Disaster Response Committee with Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. They transported 4,400 pounds of supplies including food, pet food, tents, cooking and cleaning supplies, water, and much more. They also delivered lunch to the airport staff, some of whom had lost their homes. Their high spirits amid the destruction are an inspiration. Please keep the Bahamas in your thoughts as recovery efforts continue.
