Aircraft Maintenance Lead – Nevada
Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. the sister company of PlaneSense, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Lead for its facility in Boulder City, NV.
The Maintenance Lead, with the goals set by the supervisor, is responsible for ensuring efficient use of time is achieved by the technicians to manage a cohesive workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance technicians in the absence or at the direction of the maintenance supervisor or night shift maintenance supervisor.
- Ensures the proper continuity of maintenance and inspection items from current shift to the next shift by completing a pass down log which is maintained in the Maintenance Library.
- Communicates with PlaneSense maintenance control to determine priorities and coordinate maintenance performed both at and away from station by Atlas Aircraft Center personnel.
- Assist floor technicians with aircraft related concerns affecting their ability to perform assigned tasks.
- Maintains an adequate flow of supplies and materials to assigned employees while anticipating and requisitioning needed materials to achieve maintenance goals.
- Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensures the availability of proper instructions and technical data for each job assigned.
- Ensure housing, facilities, equipment, tools, and materials are maintained.
The work environment consists of an air-conditioned hangar, with occasional outdoor work. The schedule could consist of first shift, second shift, weekends, and holidays. There could also be occasional travel for AOG work as needed around operating area domestically and internationally.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform aircraft system troubleshooting with strong electrical skills desired
- Carries or can obtain a valid U.S. Passport for training purposes
- Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and thereafter submit to DOT mandated random drug and alcohol testing
- Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint based criminal history records check.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma
- Airframe and Powerplant license required
- 3 Years of experience required
Computer Skills
- Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (especially document and word processing software) and Adobe Systems.
